Barry Sears is primarily a painter working in oils and mixed media.

He returned to his artistic journey in 2022 whilst winding down from his former career in Finance. He received his formal training at the Milan Institute.

His process is largely experimental, building vibrant imagery from chaotic beginnings and favouring striking, non traditional colour palettes, over realism.  His layered techniques create depth and intrigue, whilst his work conveys a sense of inspired transformation, finding beauty and order in expressive bursts of colour and the play of light and shade.
