Nick is a largely self taught figurative artist, working mainly in oils and, wherever possible, from life. Through close observation, he aims to create a believable and tangible representation of his subject whether it be a head, figure, or collection of inanimate objects.

 

His work is regularly exhibited and his paintings have found customers locally, nationally and internationally. His submission for the “Portraits for NHS Heroes” project was included in the book by the same name, published at the height of the Covid pandemic.

 

In 2024, Nick was awarded the Kathleen Page Portrait Prize for his self portrait at Farnham Art Society’s annual exhibition.
