Jules graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Graphic Design, specializing in Illustration, where he embarked on a career as an illustrator. His dedication propelled him to the pinnacle of his field, earning him recognition as an award-winning Creative Director for over two decades.

His passion for drawing and painting has been a constant since his school days and since semi-retiring, Jules has undertaken numerous portrait commissions. But his enduring fascination with birds traces back to a cherished childhood book: the Readers Digest book of British Birds, masterfully illustrated by New Zealand artist Raymond Harris Ching. This enduring influence has manifested in his most recent works of painting birds.
