I have always enjoyed painting and drawing from a very young age and the inspiration for my work comes from my travels and the environment. I mainly paint in pastels and oils. 

 

Having grown up in Sri Lanka, and having travelled widely to many parts of the world including India, Nepal, South East Asia and the Middle East, all the vibrancy of daily life captivates me and I enjoy communicating my experiences of people, places and cultures through my paintings.

 

I predominantly create figurative work trying to capture local people immersed in their day-to-day life which helps offer an insight into the different cultures.  Story telling is a big part of my figurative work.

 

I have also exhibited regularly in London at the Mall Galleries with the Society of Women Artists.
