Starting as a very amateur enthusiast, I have attended the ColourWheel art classes at St John’s church hall, Hartley Wintney, for the last 5 years, and have loved it and learned a great deal. These classes (and collecting my small granddaughters twice each week) are central to the weekly structure of my life.
The first time I gave myself permission to attend an art class was in 1991, when I went on a weeks Beginners’ Watercolour class at Marlborough Summer School, which opened the world of painting and drawing to me. I took some more art classes there over 7 years. Nine years ago after retiring, I moved to Hartley Wintney and joined the OAG.
I enjoy colour most of all, and I paint in watercolour, acrylic and gouache. I usually paint from photographs that I have taken.
