I was rubbish at Art at school, and never thought I would pick up a paint brush again. I was a dancer and choreographer and thought that was my 'creative calling', until May 2023, 'Sitting on the dock of the bay', so the song goes', my good friend and now Chair of the OAG Linda was sketching Bembridge Harbour.  Whilst everyone went off to the pub, Linda asked me if I wanted to have a go, and the rest as they say is history!

I've tried every medium now and learn something new everyday with art lessons, workshops and a recent art retreat in Italy. I cannot get enough of painting.  It's true what they say about Art being Therapy.  I love the peace and tranquility that it brings me, and it's an amazing outlet for creativity.

I have now joined the OAG committee, as the Programme and Social Media Manager. OAG have been so warm and welcoming, and I would really encourage everyone to give it a go.
