As a child I spent much of my time drawing, but never pursued art beyond 'O' level. Further education, two careers and life in general kept me busy for many years until, with both children at school, I resurrected my two main interests - music and art. I joined a choir, learned the oboe, and enrolled in an art group.
 

After trying various media, I found that my preference was - and still is - soft pastel, though I also enjoy graphite and coloured pencil. My primary love is drawing animals and wildlife, always striving to achieve a sense of life and character.
